[Photos by CHANCE YEH for PMc]. Diplomat-turned-philanthropist Meera Ghandi hosted a small private event at her Manhattan home on Monday on behalf of the One-To-World Foundation, which honored her with the J. William Fulbright award for her humanitarianism earlier this year.
The award acknowledges those who, in the tradition of the late Senator, further international peace and cultural understanding throughout their work in academic institutions in New York City. The event took place at Meera’s private residence - the former home of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt - and was attended by many international leaders of business and higher education who share Meera’s love and passion for philanthropy and humanistic work.
Erin Schmidt president of AWA was delighted with the out come especially since Marcia Hammelev Sandler did an amazing job with the decor with had the ball room bathed in Pink splendour.
It was a night that took the AWA ball to new heights with great expectations that next year it will again be an evening that many will want to attend and support.
