Meera and Vikram Gandhi welcomed Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, FERI Co-Chair and granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, to their home on East 74th Street in Manhattan. This was Eleanor Roosevelt's final residence, the home she shared with Dr. and Mrs. A. David Gurewitsch.

Conscious of her role as caretaker of this imporrant legacy, Meera Gandhi was eager to become involved with FERI and learn more about the Roosevelts. In opening her home she has helped share the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt and inform others of the work of FERI. The long-time FERI supporters and new friends who gathered together were inspired by the gracious surroundings and rhe memory of Eleanor Roosevelt to carry forward the spirit of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt to new generations .
