Eat, drink and be merry! That's the mantra of the
Capital's party-revelers in this festive season.
Saturday evening we saw some of them getting
rocked by guys from the Wild West. We're talking
about the heady mix of music performed by the
musical group from Austin, Texas Cowboys and
Indians who sure created magic with some old
country music and rock 'n' roll music. The band is
headed by the singer and base guitarist Bob
Livingstone. John Inmon played the lead guitar while
Bob’s son Tucker and Loic Schild chanted the crowd
on the drums.
As the crowd jumped and rocked to the music, the
band members let on how many of the Indian leaders
too have been listening to their kind of music
especially those from their album - Mahatma Gandhi
and Sitting Bull.
And then, some Danish dancers took the crowd by
surprise by swinging to Bhangra numbers before
settling down to the Brazilian music and samba
dances. Seen enjoying themselves to the music were
Algerian embassy’s Mohamed Iguenad, PGB Nair
and Syed Abdullah Aziz of Malaysia Airlines…
