Air India's inaugural flight to New Jersey
When flight AI-144 touched down December 3 at
the Newark Liberty International Airport, it was not
hard to understand the jubilation that surrounded the
arrival.
It was the first flight to New Jersey by the national
carrier of the second most populous country in the
world. Indeed, the new flight had everything to do
with demographics.
